This course is for graduates of our Applied Tax course, prior to 2011, looking to achieve the Course in Australian Taxation Law qualification.

The qualification upgrade course is the additional curriculum that has been included in the Certificate in Applied Tax course from 2011 in order to satisfy the Tax Practitioners Board accreditation. The course will cover readings and assessment on the following areas:
- Code of Conduct
- Partnerships and Trusts
- Tax Administration
- Anti-avoidance
- Tax Research tips and tricks
This Qualification Upgrade is delivered online in a self-paced format. Candidates will be required to complete a number of readings and undertake assessments in the form of online test and the submission of a Tax Administration Workbook.
The course consists of the following learning modules:
- Code of Conduct (reading with exercises)
- Partnerships and Trusts (reading with activities and online test)
- Tax Administration (workbook assessment)
- Anti-avoidance (reading)
- Tax Research tips and tricks (online viewing)
Assessment Components
- Online tests
- Completions of a Tax Administration workbook
In order to pass the course candidates will be required to satisfactory pass all assessment components.
This course could be completed within six weeks, however candidates can have up to 12 months to complete.
Note: the Qualification Upgrade will be available for enrolment from September 2011.
The course fee is $330 including GST and includes all electronic study materials.
