Abstract:
This convention paper discusses pension planning fundamentals and technical hotspots in structures of retirement and superannuation.

Suzanne Mackenzie FTIA
Suzanne is a Partner and Practice Leader of DMAW Lawyers in Adelaide. Suzanne has particular expertise in the financial services and superannuation industry having specialised in all aspects of superannuation law since she began practice 20 years ago. She is the principal adviser to most of South Australia’s large superannuation funds. Her practice also involves working with accountants, advisers and high net worth individuals involved in the self managed superannuation industry • particularly in complex areas. Suzanne is a well known speaker at Taxation Institute State and National Conventions and has had a number of papers published. Suzanne is a member of the Superannuation Subcommittee of the Taxation Institute’s National Technical Committee and is a member of the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council of Australia.
