Alteration and Cancellation Policy
The Taxation Institute of Australia reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel all or any of the arrangements contained in the program. It is a condition of acceptance of registration that an administration fee of 20% of the registration fee will be charged for cancellation by delegates. Cancellations must be received in writing by the Taxation Institute at least five working days prior to the event. No refund will be given for cancellations received within five working days of the event. A replacement may be nominated. If the replacement is not a
Member, the non–member registration fee will apply. CPD hours will be allocated to the designated attendee. The Taxation Institute cannot accept responsibility for delegates’ late transport arrivals or nonarrivals due to delays.

Any accommodation booked through the Taxation Institute will be non-refundable in the case of cancellation. The Taxation Institute reserves the right to charge a minimal administration fee on accommodation rates.

Bulk Discounts
Purchase four full registrations and receive a fifth registration for free. All registration forms must be submitted together.

Car Parking
The Exhibition Centre car park is conveniently located off Darling Drive, underneath the Exhibition Centre’s five exhibition halls. The car park has direct access to the venue and the many attractions and facilities available in Darling Harbour. The day rate is $28 (4+ hours).

Changing or Transferring Sessions
Attendance at the Convention is transferable, however ALL changes need to be emailed to registrations@taxinstitute.com.au to ensure name tags are updated and CPD hours are correctly allocated. If your changes are received more than five working days before the Convention, a revised confirmation letter will be sent.

Confirmation of Registration
On receipt of registration and payment you will receive an email containing your confirmation letter, tax invoice and session selection. Please check your session details and contact the Taxation Institute on 02 8223 0047 or registrations@taxinstitute.com.au if any details are incorrect.

Dress Code

Smart casual clothing is suitable for the Convention. Please refer to individual social options for the relevant dress codes.

Flights
Sydney Airport is located 15 kilometres from the city centre. Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar all operate regular services into Sydney.

Getting to the Convention Centre from Sydney Airport
Follow the signs for Southern Cross Drive. Southern Cross Drive connects into South Dowling Street. Follow South Dowling Street until you reach Cleveland Street. Turn left at Cleveland Street. Follow Cleveland Street until you reach Abercrombie Street. Turn right at Abercrombie Street. Abercrombie Street connects into Wattle Street. Follow Wattle Street until you reach Pyrmont Bridge Road. Turn right at Pyrmont Bridge Road. Pyrmont Bridge Road connects into Darling Drive. The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is located on your left side after the first roundabout.

Complimentary Airport Transfer to Sydney Airport from the Convention Centre
Complimentary buses will depart 5.15pm, 5.30pm and 6.45pm to transfer delegates to the Virgin Blue and Qantas Terminal. Please allow 45 minutes for travel.

Professional Development Accreditation
Full Convention accreditation is 14 CPD hours.

Please indicate any special dietary requirements on your registration form.

Sydney Weather
The weather in Sydney in March is mild with temperatures averaging in the low to mid-20s.

Venues
On Wednesday 11 March 2009 the Convention will be held at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, Piers 19-21 Upper Deck, 26-32 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont Point. On Thursday 12 March and Friday 13 March 2009 the Convention will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Drive, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, we will again be providing a Web Lounge at the National Convention. Access your emails, surf the web or just relax and read a newspaper or magazine. The Web Lounge is proudly supported by Reckon.

Wednesday: Registration and Materials

The Wednesday afternoon technical program will be immediately followed by the Convention opening harbour cruise. For this reason when you register on Wednesday you will only receive your name badge and the technical paper for the Justice Hill Memorial Lecture. Full Convention materials will be provided to delegates at the Convention Centre on Thursday morning.
