03 Feb 12 The Tax Institute’s advocacy efforts – membership of technical sub-committees
The Tax Institute’s advocacy efforts are supported by invaluable contributions from the members of our Technical Sub-committees. Our sub-committee members provide essential insight and understanding that underpins the quality of our advocacy efforts and indirectly benefits the wider tax community.
Technical Sub-committee members are engaged in identifying issues for consultation with the ATO, Treasury and other Government bodies, drafting submissions and ongoing involvement in follow-up consultation as appropriate.
The Tax Institute’s Technical Sub-committees are as follows:
- CGT & Losses Sub-committee
- Climate Change Sub-committee
- Corporate Sub-committee
- Dispute Resolution and Legal Sub-committee
- FBT Sub-committee
- GST Sub-committee
- International Sub-committee
- SME Sub-committee
- Superannuation Sub-committee
- Tax Practitioner Sub-committee
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from members seeking to join one or more of these sub-committees. While there is no specific criterion to apply, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the profession is recommended.
