Gina Lazanas, CTA, is a Partner of the specialist tax law firm, Balazs Lazanas & Welch LLP with over 23 years experience in taxation law. She practises predominantly in GST and also has carriage of various tax disputes and litigation. Gina is the Chair of The Tax Institute's Legal & Dispute Resolution Subcommittee which liaises with the Australian Taxation Office in relation to issues regarding the resolution of tax disputes as well as related tax administration matters that are of concern to taxpayers and their advisers. Gina is the joint case editor of the Australian GST Journal published by Thomson Reuters. In April 2012, Gina was appointed a part-time Senior Member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
