Abstract:

Base broadening, tougher administration and numerous court decisions regarding the fundamental building blocks of the tax have been recurring features of the stamp duty regime in recent years. This article looks at what is coming down the legislative pipeline, upcoming landmark appeal decisions and recent trends and developments which are expected to shape the stamp duty landscape in the next year.
