Yes, you read right. The Tax Institute was nominated in two categories in 2018’s Australian Marketing Institute Awards. Find out how we did.
2018 was a busy year in more ways than one.
In January, the Institute launched the new Women in Tax website created to support the career progression of women across the tax, accounting and legal professions. The Women in Tax newsletter already has close to 2000 subscribers and the brand’s flagship event held in in November; the National Congress, was a huge success.
We also piloted the Young Practitioners Mentoring Program aimed at supporting younger members of the profession by connecting them with experienced members. This pilot program proved hugely popular and was over-subscribed in just two days.
And as if that wasn’t enough, our marketing team were named finalists in the Not-for-Profit category for Women in Tax and the Customer Experience category for the Young Practitioners Mentoring Program.
“It’s been a privilege for the Institute to be nominated for both of these categories,” said Giles Hurst, CEO.
“Our marketing team has worked tirelessly for this achievement.”
And our marketing team headed to the AMI Awards Gala Dinner on a cool night in October, all glitz and glamour.
Nominated alongside the likes of big names like Tourism Australia, RACT, headspace, and smaller niche agencies with bigger teams and budgets, The Tax Institute didn’t unfortunately continue on to win the national titles for those categories.
However, we didn’t leave empty handed. We returned as winners of the New South Wales award for the Customer Experience category for the Young Practitioners Mentoring Program.
“It’s a huge achievement for us as a team,” said Linda Olofsson Daniel, Head of Marketing.
“But it also sets the standard for opportunities to really drive the Institute’s brands in 2019, so watch this space!”
