This seminar paper provides an update on recent developments in sales tax, covering legislative changes, recent rulings and cases, and some emerging issues.

Robert is the Australian Taxation Office’s Chief Tax Counsel, he is responsible for technical leadership in relation to GST. Robert is admitted as a barrister and solicitor in various jurisdictions and holds a Master of Laws in the field of litigation and dispute resolution. He currently has a particular focus on improving the timeliness of the ATO’s technical decision-making in relation to the most complex matters.
