"I received two assessment notices today for a husband and wife. Upon checking the notice of assessment I noticed that both clients had not received credit for their June 2009 quarter's PAYG instalment. When checking both clients' integrated client accounts, lo and behold, the accounts are in credit for the amount of the June instalment, which by the way were paid in August 09.

Upon trying to request an electronic refund of the credit balance the Portal will not let me proceed as there is an outstanding activity statement due, which I presume is the December 2009 one. As Pauline Hanson used to say "please explain". Let's hope the changes program rollout in January will fix these problems."
