20 Mar 099 Australia’s Future Tax System Review - input soughtAs mentioned in past weeks, the Taxation Institute, under the direction of the recently formed Taxation Institute’s Australia’s Future Tax System Review Subcommittee, is preparing a submission on the Australia's Future Tax System Consultation Paper. The Consultation Paper, which raises 71 questions, maintains a high level focus to the tax-transfer system review, encompassing Australian Government and State taxes, except the GST, and interactions with the transfer system. For a copy of the Consultation Paper, go here.
To assist in the preparation of the submission the Taxation Institute’s Australia’s Future Tax System Review Subcommittee is seeking input from members. To assist in the process of gathering member input in respect of the 71 questions raised in the Consultation Paper, a questionnaire has been prepared. It also provides further background information. Given the large size of the questionnaire members may wish to consider only addressing the questions that they feel are important. Responses to the questionnaire and any other comments for incorporation in the submission are due by 24 April 2009. They can be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
