Home / HomeWith the release on Sunday 2 August 2009 of the last component of the new Tax Practitioner regulatory regime, the exposure draft Tax Agent Services Regulations and the associated explanatory statement, the Taxation Institute is seeking member in put for a submission it is preparing. The exposure draft Regulations include the qualifications and relevant work experience requirements for registration as a tax agent or Business Activity Statement (BAS) agent under the new tax agent services regime, the application fees for registration and the requirements for recognition as a recognised professional association or recognised BAS agent association. As this regime is due to start 1 January 2010 it is crucial that member concerns are addressed now before the regulations are finalised.
