"I laugh every time I read something negative about the Relationship Manager Program. I was sceptical at first but then a Relationship Manager visited my office and told us about this wonderful service the ATO would provide. I gave my Manager a task. After 2 or 3 weeks my so called Relationship Manager was unable to assist me at all. My initial scepticism was justified. I had an occasion about 2 years ago where my new Relationship Manager rang me and asked if an appointment to see me could be arranged.

I basically told her that I thought her position was a nothing short of an ATO promotional exercise. She had no powers and could not assist me in matters pertaining to my needs. I have only ever heard negative feedback from tax agent acquaintances who have all had the run around.

I have more important things to do with my time than to waste it on a promotional exercise. My thumbs down to an inefficient service."
