08 Aug 088 More on troubles with the ELS helpdeskLast week Member 2 recounted their difficulties with having to wait 12 days for a response from the ATO ELS Helpdesk and the costs that they had incurred in the meantime: see 2008 TAXVINE No 30 (24) (1 August 2008). MEMBER 3 writes:
"Perhaps you should refer Member 2 to the ATO form "Applying for Compensation" (for Defective Administration). That is NAT 11699 - for a copy, go here http://www.ato.gov.au/corporate/content.asp?doc=/Content/48904.htm I always keep a supply of those someplace handy in case any client/s need to use. Maybe we should all routinely give them out with each and every tax form, newsletter, whatever.
