"I received Integrated Client Account (ICA) statement printouts for 7 clients in today’s mail all showing NIL balances. Why is the ATO wasting taxpayer’s money sending out these nil statements? They don’t bother sending statements out for DR or CR balances which would be of more value.
We picked up a new client last week who had a credit balance sitting in their ICA from November 2000 due to them making a payment to the wrong account. The ATO didn’t advise them that they’ve had a credit balance there over the last 8 years.
When will the ATO use some logic in what they do & how they spend taxpayers’ money and instigate proper systems???"
