"I have spent the last 6 weeks attempting to use the Relationship Manager Program to have some co contributions paid. We look after the SMSF and the individual. Firstly, I only became aware that the co contribution can go to any fund that they are or may once have been a member of, without the default being the fund that received the contribution which triggered the co contribution (a serious design flaw), but I can lodge a form to nominate which fund should receive a co contribution. The form to advise the taxpayer where the co contribution has gone can take 50 days to generate (and that doesn't take into account the current system upgrade which MAY delay the generation of that advice. But more disturbing is the lack of clear, coherent information that the Relationship Manager worker receives from the relevant ATO department to then "advise" me. I have found much of it has been patently incorrect, but as they cannot see many of the screens available to others within the ATO, you begin to wonder if it is another delaying tactic.

I understand that the ATO is under pressure, but they do not seem to be even talking to each other, let alone tax agents. It is becoming a daily frustration."
