18 May 06 Tax Agent Infoline update
The ATO advises that on Friday 19 May 2006 at 3pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) the facility that allows agents to automatically enter their Tax Agent Number (TAN) when calling 13 72 86 will be disabled. Instead agents will be asked to provide their TAN by the Customer Service Representative who receives their call.
The ATO says that this facility is being disabled to allow the implementation of new software for Release 2 of the Client Relationship Management system which, as part of the Change Program, is providing an improved service to ATO clients.
The automated facility will be restored to full operation on Monday 22 May 2006.
