"I was a Manager at a Public Practice and remember the frustrations we had with the ATO, and I enjoy reading the Member Feedback each week, it revives the memories. I have since moved into the Corporate World and I can say the frustrations with dealing with the ATO have not gone away. As a tax agent we had a dedicated phone line to the ATO, as a Corporation we don’t. Each time we phone we have a wait time of at least 30 minutes. What a total waste of business time. Then we speak to people who know less about the tax law than we do. I suppose I am lucky having had the years of tax training and experience I had. What hope does the small business person have?

PS I just emailed about the wait time for Business when calling the ATO. I have just waited 27 minutes to be cut off as someone answered. Total incompetence."
