Peter Godber, CTA
President
Peter is a consultant to Grant Thornton. He has over 30 years experience in giving professional taxation advice and dealing with change to Australian tax laws. Peter provides advice in many areas of taxation, including business taxation, business and investment structuring, international tax planning, prudential tax audits and tax risk management. Peter is a past State Chair of The Tax Institute’s Queensland Division and is currently a member of the Institute’s National Council.

Jerome Tse, CTA
Vice President
Jerome Tse, CTA, is a Partner at King & Wood Mallesons in Sydney, specialising in taxation disputes and litigation. Jerome advises multinationals, corporations and business owners on all aspects of Australian tax disputes from the pre-audit stage through to High Court litigation. He also guides clients through negotiations with revenue authorities, alternative dispute resolution processes, advance pricing agreements and mutual agreement procedures, and coordinates KWM’s global transfer pricing practice.

Paul Banister, CTA
Paul is a Partner at Grant Thornton leading the Tax division in Brisbane. He has over 30 years’ experience working with clients in an array of industries to help them navigate through complex and potentially risky tax and commercial issues. His expertise includes domestic and international tax planning, transaction advisory and support, superannuation structuring and advice, succession planning and estate planning.
Paul is also a member of the Queensland State Council and is a past State Chair.

David Earl, FTI
David is a Partner in the PwC Australia tax practice with over 18 years of experience, specialising in International and M&A tax.
David's primary focus is advising Australian businesses investing offshore, as well as foreign businesses doing business and investing into Australia. During his time with PwC, David has also spent 3 years on secondment with the PwC Netherlands international tax group where he advised on Dutch and European tax matters.
David is currently also a member of the Victorian State Council, the Victorian Education Committee, and a former chair of the Victorian State Convention Organising Committee.

Stuart Glasgow, CTA
Stuart works at Lipins Partners Chartered Accountants in Melbourne. He has nearly 25 years of experience as a taxation specialist and commercial advisor for families and privately owned businesses. He has provided advice in all areas of taxation including capital gains tax, structuring of businesses for asset protection and succession planning, business restructures, trusts and corporate tax issues. He also provides tax and commercial transaction support services. Stuart is a National Councillor, Victorian State Councillor and is a member of Victorian Technical Committee, Chair of the National Convention Program Committee, Member of the National Convention Organising Committee, Chair of the National Membership Committee and Member of the Finance Committee.

Len Hertzman, CTA
Len is an Assistant Commissioner with the ATO, and works in the Tax Counsel Network. He is based in Perth. He was previously a tax partner at Ashurst and has worked as a tax lawyer for over 25 years in Australia and Canada. He is a member of the WA State Council of The Tax Institute.

Marg Marshall CTA
Marg is a Partner of WLF Accounting & Advisory in Hobart. She has over 25 years' experience in tax advisory at a technical level. Marg advises clients of all types from individuals to large, listed entities, specialising particularly in transaction and structuring advice, capital gains tax, not-for-profit tax concessions, and deceased estates. She has been a member of the Tasmanian State Council since 2011 and is immediate past State Chair. She is also a member of the Program Committee for National Convention. Marg has a strong interest in the not-for-profit sector and is Treasurer of Board of Colony 47. She is also a member and past Tasmanian regional councillor of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She regularly participates in tax law consultations and has presented for TTI and CAANZ in the past.

Eddy Moussa, CTA
Eddy is a partner in the PwC Tax Controversy team. He provides legal advice to mainly multinational clients on taxation matters (including anti-avoidance), and supports clients in resolving disputes with the Australian Taxation Office. This work involves assisting clients under audit or investigation. Eddy also leads alternative dispute resolution processes, briefs counsel and provides anti-avoidance opinions.
Eddy is also a member of the NSW State Council.

Tim Neilson, CTA-Life
Tim is a Special Counsel of Greenwoods & Freehills Pty Limited in Melbourne. Tim is a legal practitioner who practices primarily in the area of income tax and capital gains tax, generally for "large business and international" type clients, mainly in financing, major projects and M&A. He is a former President, State Chairman and current National Councillor of The Tax Institute. He has published frequently in professional journals and spoken at professional organisation conferences and seminars and guest lectures in the University of Melbourne's Masters of Laws program.

Tim Sandow, CTA
Tim is an experienced tax professional with 25 years in the ‘Big 4’, he provides income tax related advice to a variety of private and large public companies as well as multi-nationals. In particular, Tim has advised many companies on mergers & acquisitions, tax governance, corporate tax, international tax, and employment tax issues, always maintaining a focus on practical commercial advice. One of Tim’s key skills is understanding complex tax issues and communicating these in a practical way enabling CFO’s, Boards and Business Owners to focus on the key opportunities and risks when making business decisions. Tim is currently the SA representative on National Council of The Tax Institute.

Todd Want, CTA
Todd Want, CTA, is a Director in the Tax Services division at William Buck in Sydney, where he specialises in small-to-medium enterprise tax matters. Todd advises his clients on a broad range of tax issues, while he also provides specialist consulting services to accountants, lawyers, financial planners and other professionals in public practice to assist them in advising their clients. Todd is also a regular presenter for The Tax Institute at various conferences and events.
