11 Mar 14 3 Board exposure drafts released for public comment
The Tax Practitioners Board advises that from 1 July 2014, entities that provide tax (financial) advice services for a fee or other reward may start registering with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). They will have CPE requirements, PI insurance requirements and obligations under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, including the Code of Professional Conduct.
On 7 March 2014, the TPB released the following 3 exposure drafts for public comment by 6 April 2014:
- Exposure draft TPB (I) D20/2014 What is a tax (financial) advice service?
- Exposure draft TPB (EP) D5/2014 Proposed continuing professional education policy requirements for tax (financial) advisers
- Exposure draft TPB (EP) D6/2014 Proposed professional indemnity insurance policy requirements for tax (financial) advisers
