"We contacted the ATO about an issue. After 28 days had passed the issue was escalated and we managed to speak to a person. That person did not understand what we were saying so asked for the explanation in writing in order to pass this on to her coach. Yes she said COACH. We faxed this the same day. After 3 days we rang again to hear of the result of the fax. However the person answering the phone said that the ATO could not talk about this because 28 days had not elapsed from the fax. This continual reference back to 28 days is not helping to resolve issues. There must be a better way to operate the ATO."
