“I received a letter today (12th) demanding that a new client pay his outstanding 2011 debit assessment or it would be referred to the debt collectors. The only problem was that his 2012 assessment was received last Friday and naturally the 2011 debit balance was deducted from the 2012 refund. Why is it that the ATO can spend all that money improving their systems yet they still cannot talk to one another?”
