The majority of my client’s 2019 taxation assessment notices are being sent to the “myGov web address” attached to my client’s, and as their tax agent, I am not receiving a copy of the assessment document to check against the estimated assessment as per my 2019 taxation return software product. This has resulted in additional work and time having to access the Tax Agent Portal to print out a copy of the available taxation assessment notice for my client in order to check the details against the software prepared estimate. 

Why is it the ATO is not prepared to send a copy of our client assessment notice to the taxpayer’s tax agent who has prepared and lodged the tax return to the ATO. 

We tax agents are expected to send client data to the ATO for their action. Why is it not possible for the ATO the send client data to the client’s tax agents? 

Another government foul-up. Save on paper cost, make the politicians’ wallets fatter.
