As reported in last week's TAXVINE (see 2012 TAXVINE No 35, 14 September 2012), over the weekend of 8 and 9 September 2012, the ATO released the new Access Manager (AM) system.
The ATO says that agents will use AM to manage access and permissions for the Tax Agent Portal, BAS Agent Portal and Business Portal instead of online access manager (OAM) within the Portal. For ATO information about Access Manager, go here
As tax agents who have attempted to use the Portals will be aware, the release caused access issues, as detailed in the broadcast message sent to agents on 12 and 13 September 2012.
However, in a broadcast message sent to agents on 14 September 2012, the ATO advised that the issues affecting the Portals has now been resolved.
