The ATO has published information about its Complex issue resolution service, which is available to resolve complex administrative issues and technical interpretation queries, which practitioners have been unable to resolve through ATO online channels or by phoning the ATO.

The Complex issue resolution service incorporates and replaces the Professional-to-Professional and Support and assistance services. It is available to all registered agents, legal practitioners and other intermediaries who represent clients in a professional capacity.

Once a query has been submitted, the ATO aims to reply within five working days.
