06 Jun 2019 Contacting your clients about payment summary changes
If your clients' employers report through Single Touch Payroll and the clients are linked to ATO online services through myGov, the ATO will send them a myGov Inbox message to let them know:
- their end-of-year payment summary is now called an income statement
- they can access their income statement in ATO online services through myGov or you can give them the information
- they should wait until their employer has marked their information as 'Tax ready' before lodging their tax return. Their employer has until 31 July to do this.
