29 Apr 10 Financial hardship - a new Portal mail message topic
The ATO has advised that it has recently added a new mail message topic to the Tax Agent Portal called "Financial hardship". Agents can use this topic when contacting the ATO on behalf of their business or individual clients who are experiencing financial hardship and need their income tax refunds processed with greater priority. However, agents should only use this topic when sending new requests. The ATO says that it will respond within two business days.
