15 Jun 1111 International tax agreements amendment Bill passes

On 15 June 2011 the International Tax Agreements Amendment Bill (No 1) 2011 passed the Senate without amendment, and now awaits the Royal Assent.

This Bill amends the International Tax Agreements Act 1953 to change the structure of the Act, and to give legislative effect to bilateral taxation agreements with Aruba, Chile, the Cook Islands, Guernsey, Malaysia, Samoa and Turkey.
