Inviting nominations for The Tax Institute’s Legal Practitioner Sub-committee
21 Apr 2011
As a result of The Tax Institute’s advocacy efforts, the ATO will be setting up a new NTLG sub-committee focussed on Dispute Resolution in 2011. In addition, Vice President Ken Schurgott FTIA (SBN Lawyers) currently represents The Tax Institute at the Legal Practitioners/Dispute Resolution Working Party, which focuses on tax law and administration matters affecting legal practitioners.
Owing to the overlap of members that are likely to be interested in the work of both of these sub-committees, The Tax Institute will be setting up a “Tax Institute Legal Practitioners Sub-committee” to support, provide feedback on and raise matters for consideration at either of these sub-committees. It is currently anticipated that the Chair of The Tax Institute's sub-committee will be nominated by The Tax Institute to represent our association at the NTLG Dispute Resolution Sub-committee.
If you are interested in becoming a member of The Tax Institute’s Legal Practitioners/Dispute Resolution Sub-committee, please contact us at Tax Policy on or before COB Friday, 29 April 2011.
