Dear TaxVine,

A client says, when linking the ATO to their myGov account, she receives the following message: 

If you have a Tax or BAS agent, you may authorise them to designate their ATO online inbox as your address to receive some or all of your ATO communications. Your myGov inbox will remain your address for us to send electronic communications that are not sent to your agent.

I have read this several times and still don’t understand what it means. The client is asking me, “Should I authorise you (as my tax agent)”? What happens if I say yes? What happens if I say no? MyGov gobbledegook that has no clear meaning.
