21 Sep 10 Lost payment reference number help online
The ATO has advised that agents' clients paying by BPAY®, credit card or direct credit need a payment reference number (PRN), also known as an electronic funds transfer (EFT) code. The PRN is on the client's payment slip, directly above the barcode. If the client has lost their payment slip, the agent or their client can generate a PRN using a new Online Payment Reference Number (PRN) Tool on the ATO website.
This tool automatically creates a PRN from a client’s tax file number (TFN). It is available for individuals, companies and superannuation funds who want to make income tax payments.
