The ATO has responded in relation to feedback from Members 257, 258 and 259 in last week's TAXVINE about lost ELS returns - see 2013 TAXVINE No 45 (22 November 2013):
"We are aware that some trust returns are not being processed automatically. We are monitoring our systems for these returns and processing them when identified. We are also investigating whether there are other impacts when lodging via ELS.
However, any occurrence of missing returns needs to be reviewed on a case by case basis. If a return is not actioned within its service standard, you should contact the ATO. Please refer to the Tax agent services guide for contact details. When you call, please ensure you have your ELS validation and transmission reports available for the particular returns you are calling about."
