The ATO responds to an issue raised by MEMBER 52 in 2014 TaxVine No 14 (9 May 2014) about problems with lodgment status as shown on the portal.
“There are known portal issues that affect the portal lodgment status of specific obligations. The lodgment status for clients may show as ‘unlodged’, examples include:
- returns for periods that pre-date a client’s registration
- some income tax years where there has been backdating of further return not necessary (FRNN) for multiple years.
Your on-time performance measurement will not be impacted by these known portal client list issues, as lodgment performance information is sourced from our Integrated Core Processing system where the lodgment status of the client is recorded correctly.
