Advice to Member 81 – see 2011 TAXVINE No 20 (27 May 2011): ‘Stuff’ the portal, write a formal notice of objection, quote all relevant sections of the Acts (1936 and 1997), three or four cases and serve it by registered post, or better, as in the old days, at the lodgment counter and have a receipt for the document – do they still function? It is not nice having our beloved tax legislation ignored, especially as with most offices it greets us each morning from the ever thriving library shelving. By the way, there must be a Fact Sheet, should help you in your reply or appeal.
