The final advice I received from my Client Relationship Manager was to lodge the return. It is not possible to add with a CU form via ELS, not possible to load through the Portal, so lodge the return. That is supposed to add the taxpayer as a client. I have yet to have this approached confirmed as a working option ..... watch this space.
