On 25 June 2013 the ATO launched its new website, and it was immediately apparent that there were problems – links which did not work, server errors, etc.
David Leslie (Assistant Commissioner, Corporate Relations) advises:
“Unfortunately we are experiencing intermittent difficulties with the website and are correcting them as a matter of urgency.
We apologise if this has caused you any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Once we’ve resolved these immediate problems we are confident the new look website will be a help to you.
The new site was designed with your feedback and input in mind - relevant information, with an activity-based approach and a number of new features, functions and navigation tools.
Our new website design focuses on:
- giving you the information you need
- the key tasks and actions you need to take - to meet your tax and super obligations
- helping you find what you are looking for.”
