"I read the comments by Member 365 concerning ATO addresses in last week's TAXVINE - see 2010 TAXVINE No 50 (10 December 2010). The situation she described has been ATO policy for 10 years, since Activity Statements commenced.

I believe all tax agents should have been updating all addresses for all existing clients when necessary, plus a standard procedure for all new clients when adding them to a client list in addition to checking all ATO accounts for longstanding credit balances as standard practice. These are the services we are being paid by our clients to do as tax agents."
