"The latest comment on ATO mail and the ever changing landscape.
Why does the ATO insist on sending mail directly to clients' home and business addresses?? Aren't we as tax agents meant to be the contact point for all these matters????
The latest debacle is letter advising clients their March 2011 Activity Statements are due by 28 April 2011. Why?? Why do the clients that lodge via ELS and therefore get the automatic tax agent deferral of 4 weeks for quarterly activity statements get letters telling them something else.
We have spent the last week dealing with assuring those clients that the rules haven’t changed all of a sudden. Another waste of time.
Seriously ATO, take a long hard look at yourself and get the 1 per centers right!!!"
