“I have received a phone call from a person stating they were from the ATO early collections section and when I asked where they were calling from I was advised she was from the ATO, I was then asked about a client of mine supposedly. Strange thing about the name that was quoted, it was the name of a person who I do not have as a client nor have I ever had as a client. I asked to speak to her manager no less than 5 times and then the person just hung up the phone.
Really time that the ATO staff actually learnt how to read their computer screens and how to check who is the real tax agent.
This is just a complete waste of our time and is another reason why we do not get our work done and fail the 85% lodgment. Time the ATO corrected their computers before our time is wasted.”
