"I had a good laugh at this one: just got a survey request. Apparently I contacted the ATO sometime between July and December last year about a tax or super matter, and they would like my feedback about how it all went. It should only take me about 10 minutes to fill in the survey – no mention of how long it might take to remember that one occasion when I called the ATO. Once I stopped laughing at the stupidity of it all, I started crying at the waste of paper, and postage, and the fact that someone gets paid to have these ideas, and all of that comes out of the taxes that I and my clients pay. Mr Commissioner, here's your chance to make a difference."
