"One of the good things to come from the multi-million dollar new processing system was a Statement of Account being issued to companies and SMSFs when the income tax was raised on the account. Thus we knew the ITR was processed correctly and the client received an account with a payment slip, simple and helpful.

We have had several experiences recently where no account issues after lodging, the first correspondence is a payment demand when it goes over the due date, no statement of account at all. Not all but some, which is typical. Thus we now need to back check on them, and print off a statement and print off a payment slip.

A bit of info if a client phones wanting to know why they have a demand and no prior statement.

The repetitive rhetorical question, why can’t it work properly all the time for all clients?"
