On paper versus electronic activity statements - the ATO responds
In 2014 TAXVINE No 38 (17 October 2014) Member 161 wrote about the difficulties arising from the ATO's move from paper based activity statements to electronic lodgment of activity statements, and made suggestions as to how the system could be improved. In 2014 TAXVINE No 39 (24 October 2014), Member 166 supported Member 161's comments, saying: "If we wanted to put the client on Electronic Delivery, we would have elected this option".
THE ATO NOW RESPONDS
"Thank you for the feedback. We are aware of a number of issues that are arising with respect to the move to electronic lodgment of activity statements. We are currently examining possible options to deal with these issues."
