"I note that the ATO no longer indicates the Australia Post logo on the reverse side of the PAYG Payment Advice. An older taxpayer who always transacts by cheque, had me phone to check if Australia Post were continuing to process payments of tax, and was concerned because although he understood how to line up at the Post Office, he could not do telephone or internet banking. The telephone information line says payment could be made at Australia Post. I do know that Australia Post take a collection fee. Is this one arm of government cost saving at the expense of another, and not caring for the user? I think the boss should have a chat to them."
