"For some years we've worked carefully with a certain client who wishes to keep his 2 SMSF Pensions separate and distinct.

One pension is wholly untaxed benefits, and the other pension is mostly taxable benefits. Today our client had an interview with Centerlink about some welfare payments. The Centrelink person advised him to 'combine all your pension benefits into a single account'. (We presume this is to reduce the calculations Centrelink needs to perform.)

Does the Centrelink person need to be licensed to give (bad) financial advice? Oh dear."
