“Not only are we ripped off on GST but the Tax Agent Portal technical assistance short changes us too.

We had problems inputting EFT details on the Portal for some clients due varied PAYG Instalment refunds & the system was shown as ‘unavailable’ with a System Unavailable Message for 2 out of 4 taxpayers who needed EFT details updated (strange indeed it was available to the other 2 – I would have thought it was either available or unavailable but not on a selective basis for different taxpayers).

Anyway, rang the Fast Key Code 3 3 as shown on the message at 4:15pm WST to get a recorded message that I was calling out of hours and that service hours are from 8am to 6pm (no time zones mentioned).

So while the Eastern states get technical support assistance until 6pm us second cousin agents from the West don’t get any support after 4pm. Would be even worse if it was 3 weeks ago and daylight saving was still operating – there would have been no support after 3pm.

If it wasn’t so serious it’d be laughable.”
