“I work more than 70 hours a week as a tax practitioner. I am subject to Tax Practitioner Board requirements, Professional body requirements, Australian Taxation Office demands, ASIC demands and client demands.
Throw in the demands of my partner who says she does not see enough of me, it all adds up to one hell of a price to pay for the occupation that the readers of TaxVine are passionate about and pursue.
So nobody will mind if I have a little chuckle to myself about a group of Public Servants (very well known to readers of TaxVine) who are upset about losing a health and wellbeing allowance of $300 per annum. The requirement to work another 9 minutes a day had me on the floor and in stitches. It really says it all.”
