“Can somebody please explain to me how we overworked Tax Agents ever got stuck with the 85% lodgment rule starting July 1, 2013? Can somebody also explain to me, given the important nature of the change, why no professional body asked its members what they thought of this change? Finally, I may have missed it, but what position did the Tax Institute take with the ATO in respect of this change?
Maybe some very stern action against unreasonableness in the Tax Industry is now required.”
