"Today I log into the ATO Pothole and check contact details for a particular client. We've been lodging usual forms for this  client for over 10 years, all clearly showing the correct tax agent details.

When I check the contact details in the Pothole, there's the old tax agent from last century still listed there, but not us.  (Maybe we don't mind that old tax agent can deal with any inevitable annoying ATO phone calls for this client.) But the  Pothole must know who the correct Tax Agent is, since I can access the client details on my screen!

What has the ATO been doing for all these years? Perhaps trying to upgrade their systems. It’s no wonder we rarely use  their Pothole, even on days when it appears to be working. Why bother?"
