18 May 12 On the failure of ATO to process tax returns

"Just called the ATO to follow up on the lodgment of a deceased estate tax return, will have to pay the ATO around $250,000.00. This was lodged 14 days ago. The lodgment does not appear on the ATO tax agent's Portal.
A person at Box Hill in Melbourne has advised that the ATO have a processing standard of 30 days and yet when one looks at the ATO website it appears as 14 days.
When is the ATO going to actually start to honour its obligations? We wanted to clear up this estate before the year end which now will probably not be possible due to the failure of the ATO to process tax returns in the required time frame."
