On the recording of phone calls
MEMBER 147 writes:
"Further to Member 131’s contact by the ATO and being advised that calls would be recorded - see 2014 TAXVINE No 33 (12 September 2014).
Some time ago, I received a call from the ATO and was advised that the call was being recorded/monitored etc.
Tongue in cheek, I replied: 'That’s OK, so are we.'
Silence followed, then the ATO caller said: 'What? I can’t talk to you if you are recording this.'"
