24 Apr 15 On the “Roadmap of Change”

“I followed up with specifically finding the ‘Roadmap of Change‘ that is coming up in ATO speak. After toing and froing, including with helpful TI, the roadmap is in fact a long list of consultations the ATO is holding in forums etc, with the occasional listing of some change. The Roadmap of Change is actually 90% plus list of consultations. It is not a sequential map of the future changes, that would be helpful. Very little indication of SBR and those changes, or when the Pothole will cease. It does not list the up and coming SuperStream changes that we should have our client prepared for before 1st July.
I don’t want to listen and sign up for talks and forums, just a worksheet/table, that is updated with the changes and changing implementations, a couple/few pages long. And if the ATO keep it at one location on its Website we could save it as a favourite, so we can go back to it in 6 or so months and find it (novel idea eh).”
TAX COUNSEL THILINI WICKRAMASURIYA COMMENTS: We agree with your feedback Member 86, and have previously voiced the same view when the ATO consulted us on the Roadmap in draft form.
